Samsung has announced two more Android devices as 2013 comes to an end. Coming in with two lower to mid range devices Samsung has announced the Galaxy Grand 2 and the Core Advance, both devices that replace models that are less than a year old. Samsung has created a habit lately of releasing updated versions of Android devices less than a year after the first one was released, and here are two more examples.

Starting with the Galaxy Grand 2 we have a 5.25 inch 720P display that comes in just smaller than the original Galaxy Note devices. Featuring the faux-leather stitching on the back the device resembles the Note 3 in style, but not in specs. Inside the device you will find a 1.2GHz quad core processor which is a great addition, as well as 1.5GB of RAM which is a little low in comparison. You won’t find Samsung’s S Pen included with this device, but the price is where they hope to catch attention. While the cost has yet to be announced Samsung had priced the original Galaxy Grand at only $300 off contract. If people are able to get the Grand 2 at a similar cost it would definitely be a bargain for how much phone you are getting.

The Galaxy Core Advance is an even lower end device that will likely be even less appealing than the Galaxy Grand 2. Launching with Android 4.2 it is lacking right off the bat. On this device you will find a 4.7 inch 800 x 480 display which is going to be rough to look at. With a 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM the device is eh at best. Odds point to this device coming out in the lower $200 price point off contract, which is about the only good thing going for the device.

Do you know someone who would enjoy one of these devices, or would you recommend they pass in favor of a higher end device?
