Mobile App Contest, Apps, Utah The Startup Ogden Mobile App lab is looking to become the center of the mobile app universe in Ogden Utah. The organization is teaming up with Grow Utah Ventures, Northfront Business Resource Center, and Webster University/Startup Ogden of the $15,000 Mobile App Concept To Company contest.

The Startup Ogden Mobile App lab knows that there are thousands of developers out there developing apps and pushing them out to market using the iTunes App Store  and the Google Play Store. The contest borders on the concept of from the bedroom to the boardroom a movement amongst developers and support organizations to help turn app developers into company leaders.

“Right now, it’s much easier but also much more challenging in some regards to launch a mobile app business,” said T. Craig Bott, President and CEO of Grow Utah Ventures said in a statement. “Design and code writing are often the easy part, but the user experience, marketing strategy, promotion, and of course the initial funding is what is more difficult, “ he continued. “That’s where this contest comes in, to help those get further down the road in achieving their dreams.”
