Why did you build ContentTools?

Creating engaging content on a regular basis can be difficult and we wanted to provide a tool to make it easier. We help companies drive more website traffic, generate leads, and increase social engagement. Our product gives content producers another tool to give them a competitive advantage and bring additional value to their digital strategy.

How is your product different from what is currently available?

Product – We have tools to create multiple forms of interactive content. We also have lead generation and audience building features for all of our tools.
Customer Service – We have a great team that is here to help businesses succeed using interactive content. Whether you need a product demo, content ideas for your business, or technical help; the ContentTools team is here for you.

Tell us your founding story. Was there an “ah ha” moment?

We started off as a city guide called LocalView. We wrote articles about restaurants, events, and entertainment. We started seeing how popular quizzes and other forms of interactive content were and wanted to create our own. We didn’t see a good product in the market to build interactive content so we decided to build it ourselves. As we were building the product, we had interest from local media companies to use the product as well. We started licensing out the software and from there, started seeing other use cases for interactive content. We built 7 tools and added features to generate leads and build social audiences. We built ContentTools as a solution to one of our problems and ended up licensing it out to other companies with the same problem.

Tell us about your founding team and their backgrounds.

Eric Littleton – Founder
Eric is a charismatic leader who draws his strength from his experience working in a diversity of fields from engineering and project management to business development and sales. Eric’s goal is to create software solutions demonstrating actual, measurable results to clients.
Jon Matar – Co-Founder
Jon brings to the team real world experience in financial analysis and risk management from years in the banking and financial industry. Jon’s goal is to show clients a return on investment that is higher than industry standard. Jon wants to offer software solutions that help businesses grow.
