Now that all the rumor mongering is over in regards to Apple’s annual iPhone announcement event and subsequent release, rumors are again heating up about the Macbook Air.
Last year we started hearing that the Macbook Air would have a significant re-up possibly late in 2014. It seems that this re-up has been moved to mid 2015 but with the current Macbook Air lineup they are either going to add a 12″ Macbook Air or replace one of the existing size configurations with a 12″ version.
Several sites have suggested that the next Macbook Air will be even thinner than previous models. The good folks at 9to5Mac believe the next Air’s could also be fanless thanks to the Intel Broadwell processors.
What’s really got people talking is a report from newbie tech website simply called Atechwebsite, which suggests that the next iteration of Macbook Air’s will also come in a variety of colors including the blackish “Space Grey” and the ever so popular gold. The writer insists he has insider information from Apple but every other credible tech journalist in the world can’t collaborate…hmmmm… perhaps a salesperson at his local Apple store is the source of all this dirt?
If you’re looking for a Gold Macbook Air something tells me you’re going to have to spray paint it but we shall see.
Most credible sites suggest a Spring 2015 launch which would be inline with the general time when Apple updates their computer offerings.
