As soon as I decried that there were not many web platforms at this years One Spark, I came across another one. However, the platform with which this article is concerned – QuickComet – is very different from My Elements. QuickComet is “an app designed to make you a smarter investor with integrated tutorials, tools, and collaboration…all wrapped in a beautiful interface.”1 Although the app has not launched yet, the screenshots that are available make the app look incredibly simple to use:
Currently, there are a ton of investment related applications and platforms available. However, QuickComet stands out for a few reasons:
Most of the investment tools out there today aren’t really focused on investor education. They might help you manage your investments, but they don’t help you understand what you’re investing in. QuickComet is all about teaching people how to understand companies as good investments or bad investments. Secondly, there really aren’t any tools out there that integrate a social experience AND investment education in a single app. Lastly, we’re striving to create an engaging user interface for app, and a portion of the funding we are seeking will be used just for that.2
We are certainly looking forward to checking out QuickComet. You can sign up for the beta on their website.
