Why would a semiconductor company exhibit at the Consumer Electronics Show? This question comes up whenever I tell friends and family that I will be working at CES in January. A semiconductor company makes chips that go inside different devices that no consumer ever will see, so why spend money to display at CES? Although our products are not seen, they are used in our car, homes, cell phones, credit cards, passports, and even coffee makers. Everything we will demonstrate in our booth touches a consumers’ daily life either now or in the next few years. CES offers us an opportunity to not only expand our consumer brand awareness but also allows us to showcase innovations our customers and partners are developing with NXP. These innovations feature technologies that connect and make things in our lives smarter in a secure manner. I mention security because it is so important for consumers to have trust that their devices can communicate with each other securely and not need to worry about outside threats. NXP enables these secure connections. – See more at: http://blog.nxp.com/why-is-a-semiconductor-company-exhibiting-at-ces/#sthash.srqDMmX9.dpuf
CES is a gathering place for a majority of our customers and partners. Drue Freeman, Senior VP Sales and Marketing Americas at NXP said, “CES has proven year after year to be one of the best and most concentrated venues for us to directly connect with the decision makers at our customers.” This event provides us with a great opportunity to maximize our customers time, our time, and achieve significant ROI during this four day event. – See more at: http://blog.nxp.com/why-is-a-semiconductor-company-exhibiting-at-ces/#sthash.srqDMmX9.dpuf
More and more smart technology is being used to connect our devices in the home, placed in cars to increase safety, and to provide secure identification. In the future I envision all our personal devices being connected and NXP’s goal is to enable Secure Connections for a Smarter World. – See more at: http://blog.nxp.com/why-is-a-semiconductor-company-exhibiting-at-ces/#sthash.srqDMmX9.dpuf
