One of the greatest apps we’ve seen since we started covering edtech is Drawp. Drawp is an art app with an awesome art engine. It allows kids to be as creative as possible, and exceeds what you get from even Crayola’s line of art apps.
Kids as young as three have been able to use the Drawp app to create pictures as easily as, if not easier than, with paper and crayons. Drawp has a bunch of digital paints, stickers, audio and photo features that are easily accessible for kids to get as creative as possible.
Drawp has built-in safe sharing. There’s no need for kids to use email. Kids just swipe to share with grandma or with anyone in a parent-approved network.
Teachers love Drawp too! There’s a teacher version of Drawp available called Drawp for School that includes Drawp’s powerful creativity engine, but has a sharing platform tailored for school. It makes it a breeze for teachers and students in a busy classroom to be creative, collaborate and manage assignments.

Techfaster is in the middle of Summer School covering all of the best edtech and edtech events. What summer school would be complete without art? That’s why we’ve teamed up with Drawp to hold an awesome art contest for kids 10 and under.
Now through August 18, download Drawp free in the iTunes App Store here. Drawp is a free app with extra digital paints available as in-app purchases. Or you can get all available paints in Drawp Unlimited for $4.99 here. It’s like a $100 art set at Toys R Us for only $5.00. You’ll see what we mean when you download it.
Parents, set up your child’s Drawp account and add drawp@techfaster.com as a sharing friend. Then whenever your child completes a picture have them share it with drawp@techfaster.com and we’ll post it to our Drawp gallery.
On August 21, we’ll randomly select one of the participants who will win a $100 e-gift card to Toys R Us that can either be printed and used at your local Toys R Us store or used online at toysrus.com.

Downloading the Drawp app in the iTunes app store is required for participation, downloading premium content is NOT. Artwork becomes property of Techfaster.com, MediaFaster Inc, Moondropapps, Drawp and their affiliates. No last names will be used in conjunction with the art work. The contest will be randomized and not judged. The more artwork submitted the better your child’s chances. By sharing artwork with Techfaster, you are hereby entering your child’s artwork for the contest. Contest submission end date is August 18, 2014. Winner will be notified by email by August 25,2014. Allow up to two weeks following for prize disbursement. For this contest only, the parents email address, and or that of the child will NOT be shared and will only used for official contest communication which may include periodic updates to the progress of the contest.
