If you prefer Google’s goo.gl url shortener over the recently DDoS attacked Bit.ly shortener than we’ve got some good news for you.
Android Central reported on Sunday that a developer, Thomas Devaux, has created and released a new app to the Google Play Store that makes it a cinch to shorten url’s on the go using the Google’s shortener.
The app, appropriately called “Google URL Shortener”, allows you to create goo.gl short links from your Android phone. It links to your Google account so that it can store your newly shortened URLs. However, it also gives you access to all your previously shortened url’s with analytics.
Devaux’s Google URL Shortner app joins the ranks of seven other Android apps that also allow you to shorten URL’s on the move with goo.gl. However, when compared to what’s out there already, the new Google URL Shortener app is aesthetically more appealing, the UI is more intuitive and feature packed.
The new app is available now and is also compatible with both 7 and 10 inch tablets.
You can download the new app here.
