After five years of writing and reporting about Android some consider me an authority on platform debate. While I’ve never (and I’ll repeat this again), in 35+ years I’ve never owned a PC (only Apple) I was quite the Android and Google loyalist for a long while. In fact there are some Google products that I swear by like Googld Docs, Gmail, Google Apps, Google Drive and Google Maps. Now many of my loyal followers also know I have been a DJ for 30 years and in radio for 20+ so the music person in me has the same question as the Android person in me, why on earth would someone in the Apple ecosystem even consider Google All Access over iTunes.
But….
If for some reason you love Google Play Music with All Access or maybe you’ve switched from Android to iOS in the last few months than you may want to know that the Google Play Music With All Access app is available in the iTunes app store. Google Play Music With All Access is Google’s answer to the complete iTunes suite including music organization, music sync, and now a radio rival that competes with the likes of Spotify, Rdio, Pandora and iTunes Radio. Now, while iTunes Radio isn’t going to overtake Pandora anytime soon what most people need to realize is that the iTunes/Apple ecosystem when it comes to music is vastly superior to almost anything out there.
Remember they’ve been working on iTunes and their relationships with the major labels and the indie labels for a decade. Apple created the RIAA’s category for certifying downloads.
So again, not sure how many people out there will really find this useful but Google All Access is available in the iTunes store in fact you can download it here.
