In some WTF news, the Japan Trend Shop is selling iPhone 5 “Gun Grip Case.”¹ Not quite sure how this made it through whatever due diligence the Japan Trend Shop puts products through, but this is a terrible, terrible idea. A quick Google search for “cops shoot fake gun,” turns up more than 6 million results. Most of these results have titles such as, “Deputies fatally shoot 13-year-old boy in Santa Rosa,” or “Michigan police shoot, injure teen holding fake gun.”

Perhaps the only thing more asinine than the product itself is the product description:

Available in black, white or pink, this fake “pistol” works with an app so you can interact with a digital version of the gun in the same color on your iPhone 5 screen. This is the perfect product if you are looking to get shot by the police! What can we really expect from the Japan Trend Shop when one of their featured products is this “Face Slimmer Exercise Mouthpiece:”
