Global Entrepreneurship Week, the national week long celebration of entrepreneurs and startups is now less than a month away and with that the Kauffman Foundation announced on Wednesday the finalists for their big event called “Get In The Ring The American Startup Clash”. While they are backing a number of events, both in their hometown of Kansas City, and all over the country, the clash is their big startup contest.
The Get In The Ring event brings together the best of the best in US based startups with startups across the country and around the world.
Get in the Ring is a startup pitch competition founded by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship in the Netherlands to bring the world’s most promising entrepreneurs together with those who can help them succeed and to inspire others to start their entrepreneurial journeys. The U.S. champion selected in Kansas City on Nov. 18 will fly to Rotterdam to compete at the global finals on Nov. 22 for a chance at more than $1 million in angel funding.
The 8 finalists in the US were chosen out of over 238 US entrepreneurs that met the criteria the Kauffman Foundation laid out here.
