The Techfaster crew is busy getting preparing for Mobile World Congress, the largest wireless and mobile industry trade show in the world. During Mobile World Congress we’ll see all the new exciting phones and hardware for 2014. You may have wondered why there weren’t many wireless and smartphone announcements from the likes of Samsung, or LG at the International CES, or even where HTC was at all. That’s typically because they wait the 7 weeks or so for this event. It’s the premiere mobile industry event and it’s happening in Barcelona.
While the latest smartphones and wireless phones are cool, this year apps, connected devices and other mobile personal electronics will take center stage in a growing trend that we’ve seen at CTIA, CES and now MWC. There will certainly be an amazing amount of information pouring out of Techfaster and other sites from now and through the event which runs next week, February 24-27th.
We here at Techfaster have spent a lot of time figuring out what the best ways to communicate all the information from Mobile World Congress to our readers, and followers. Obviously we’ll be posting great stories here at Techfaster.com, and we’ll have a bunch of great videos on our YouTube channel, but our quickest updates will come via an exciting new app called Let’s.
Let’s is a proximity based social app that connects you with everyone around you. It’s like having an IM with everyone around you without having to add them to a list of contacts.
Techfaster will be leveraging Let’s app in two important ways:
We will have one account that you can find using the email address mwc@techfaster.com. That’s for those of you attending Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We’ll keep you up to date with real time information on what’s going on during MWC.
The other account, that you can find using the email address mwcathome@techfaster.com is for everyone else who wants to keep up with all the MWC action at home.
Now here comes the best part, for those of you following along using let’s with the mwcathome@techfaster.com account, if you participate in the conversation you’ll have the opportunity to win a $1000 MWC tech prize pack including some of the latest gadgets, gear and accessories we find at Mobile World Congress. Just download, register and participate in our Mobile World Congress discussions using Let’s!
You an download Let’s in the iTunes app store here or in the Google Play Store for Android devices here. Find out more about Let’s here at Lets-Now.com
