Other than “the internet of things” collaboration is all the rage this year. Earlier this year Box introduced their Box Notes app which allows users to collaborate on notes at the same time. This is something that Google has offered for years through their Google Docs platform and now Google Drive.
In both instances users can work off and edit the same document or note at the same time. If you’ve ever been working on a Google document that is shared with someone else and you both go to add something you can see what the other person is writing in real time. Same thing goes for Box Notes.
Evernote offered collaborative notes however if two people tried editing the same note at the same time the app would crap out and send an error message. That’s not the case anymore as Evernote introduces LiveMinutes with Evernote, an app geared towards teams that want to collaborate on the Evernote platform.
Business Insider reports that the new LiveMinutes will be free for teams up to 5 and then $5 per “Workspace” per month. Workspaces can be shared with multiple people but it’s unclear just how many people.
LiveMinutes COO Alex Dufetel told Business Insider that the app is currently in beta right now but expected to be available in the coming weeks.
