Since taking over as CEO of yahoo in July of 2012 Marissa Mayer has been turning heads in the tech community. She’s re-focused Yahoo by bringing the site back to what it was known for, streamlining some operations and making bets on startups.
Mayer stunned the tech community when she announced that she was pregnant the same day she accepted the CEO position at Yahoo. Two months later her and her husband, lawyer and investor Zachary Bogue gave birth to their son MacAllister. Mayer returned back to work after two weeks.
Mayer was no stranger to the tech world she had worked her way up to the highest female executive at rival Google and many feel that when she reached the highest position she could attain at Google it was time for her to go and run a company. Mayer is widely seen as a great tech executive, innovator and investor which is why she will keynote this year’s International CES.
“As a defining innovator making waves in the online and mobile space and a fresh breath for the industry, Marissa Mayer is a perfect addition to our Tech Titans keynote series,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. “We’re thrilled to welcome her to the CES stage to share her strategic vision for the evolving tech landscape.”
Mayer’s keynote is slated for 1pm on Tuesday January 7th in the LVH theater. Her address is part of the tech titans series. Intel CEO Brian Krazanich, Cisco CEO John Chambers, Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai, AUDI AG CEO Rupert Stadler and CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro are also featured speakers as part of the Tech Titans Series.
