Picalf

Picalf is a New York based company that has built an app that solves an embarrassing problem. How many times have you given your phone to a family membor or friend to show them a picture, only for them to swipe through and see some less than appropriate photos? Well, enter Picalf – think Gandalf for pictures. The Picalf team told us a little bit about the project and what to expect.

What does your company do, and how do you do it?:

Don’t you hate when you show a pic to someone and they start swiping left & right?!

Ya, we all have been through that agony of our mom seeing our awkward pics or our friends seeing that drunk pic! Well, No more.

Picalf is a new mobile app that lets you select & show only the pics you want to and nothing more!
No more swiping! No more embarrassment!

Why do you do it?

To give people privacy and avoid embarrassment. Anytime you show one pic to someone on your phone, they just start swiping.

What was the “ah ha” moment?:

When my mom started swiping through my phone and saw some pics that were meant for my girlfriend. And many other such annoying incidents

What do your current goals look like?:

We are under the development phase right now. We have outsourced the design and development process.
