So, I was browsing through /r/shutupandtakemymoney, and came across the WEZEL, The only reason I clicked through to the Kickstarter Page was because of the Reddit title:”Wezel- the funniest kickstarter video i’ve watched in a while.” After watching the video, which is hilarious, the WEZEL wallet seems incredibly useful. To start, here is the video:

Pretty good. Anyhow, the WEZEL seems to be an awesome product. Not only is the WEZEL a super-thin, minimalist wallet, but it serves as a portable phone stand. What’s more, the WEZEL is even strong enough to support an iPad:

The creator of the WEZEL, Kyle Parkin, shared a little bit of his creative process on the Kickstarter page:

One day, while stroking my beard, I said to myself, “Self, what if I bought leather and made my own wallet?” I stopped by the local leather store and talked to “Leather Mike” (not his name, but that is what I call him) and bought some leather scraps. I hand cut and stitched pieces of leather together until I found the right size and style I liked. Still a bit unsettled, however, my beard knew better: the WEZEL was not yet born.

It wasn’t until I was entertaining my bored self and playing with my wallet when I noticed that the credit cards from one side could fit into the pocket on the other side. I tossed the wallet down on the desk and noticed that the spine propped up. In that moment my beard said, “That’s it! This sucker can transform into a stand for your phone!” The Wezel was born, and 20 handmade prototypes later we have perfected it!
