Happen to have $2,000 laying around for an Android device that runs an outdated version of Android? If you answered yes look no further than Gresso’s newest smartphone. Carved out of a single plate of titanium each device takes Gresso 13 hours to produce. 9 hours of the time is spent for the initial assembly, and then 4 more hours after is spent polishing the device to make sure it really shines.
When it comes to details Gresso has even crafted the home and menu keys from solid titanium. On the rear of the device they have chosen to accentuate it with a tinted Gorilla Glass for a bit of a darker look. The device itself looks pretty sharp, but when it comes to what is inside it is a bit disappointing.
With a 1.2GHz quad-core processor it sounds good but then you find out that it is stuck running Android 4.1.2. Sure, it can be updated but most of the luxury handsets have slow update processes, and in the past they have launched running the current versions. Looking at the Porsche-designed BlackBerry devices for a comparison the Gresso device is certainly lacking.
Pricing of the base model is $1,800 and can be ordered now, but if you want to spend a bit more Gresso can give an even more luxury device. For $2,300 you can have an 18k white or yellow gold front facing Gresso badge if you really feel the need.
