We just came across AllCast, a new Android application (still in beta) that allows users to play local videos on Roku players, Apple TV, Xbox, and other DLNA devices. AllCast streams content directly from Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or your mobile devices’ local storage directly to one of the supported devices.

AllCast was developed by Koushik Dutta – the Co-Founder of Cyanogen Inc. – and was released through his ClockworkMod. As the Android app is still in beta, it is a bit of a process to download. You have to first join the ClockworkMod Beta Testers Google+ Community, and then download AllCast from the Google Play Store. Here is a video of the App in action:
