CARE

There were a lot of great companies and products at this years FETC. That said, for the most part, these products and companies weren’t really showing off any groundbreaking new products. That is, except for C.A.R.E. – Core Augmented Reality Education. C.A.R.E. has built an awesome set of augmented reality challenges and lessons:

C.A.R.E.‘s product suite provides students with an interactive and engaging approach to learning while also offering effective tools for students to build the skills required for college and career readiness. We use augmented reality technology to create a virtual learning experience.

  • All content is aligned to Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, STEM, and STEAM.
  • Our product suite includes augmented worksheets, augmented animated lessons, and 4D virtual labs.
  • We create experiences for students to participate in a 21st century classroom and meet the needs of diverse learning styles.1

CARE app

C.A.R.E. really stands out in their approach. Unlike the majority of the augmented reality platforms out there, C.A.R.E. utilizes both and Android and iOS app. So, there is absolutely no equipment to buy, just download the free app. What’s more, every single lesson and project that C.A.R.E offers is aligned with Common Core, or the various science standards:

Our current library of Common Core aligned assignments and assessments incorporate animated lessons for K-8 Mathematics and English Language Arts. They facilitate higher order thinking and are developed to meet a student’s diverse learning style. C.A.R.E. looks to publish HS ELA and HS Math this summer 2015.2

More than anything, though, C.A.R.E. presents information and lessons in a cool and interesting way. It offers educators a way to spice up their classes and teach in a more interactive manner. We had a chance to speak with the C.A.R.E. team, and see the app in person during FETC. Check it out, and head to coreared.org for more info:
