Myfoxal.com reports that a hunter was in Gulf shores when his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from a gas station while he was in the store. The truck had several guns and several hunting dogs in the bed.
The hunter, who’s name wasn’t released, had GPS trackers on all of his dogs who were both pets and hunting dogs.
The alleged suspect, who has been identified as Eric Hilderbrand of Attalla, had no idea that the dogs in the back of the truck would ultimately foil his plan. It was in less than an hour and a half that police were able to use the GPS tracking information to locate the dogs.
Once they found the dogs they found the hunter’s truck nearby which also led to finding the suspect. Luckily for the hunter the dogs, guns and truck have all been recovered.
