Earlier this week many reports and surveys suggested that the Microsoft Xbox One had won Black Friday. While in the melee of crazy shopping deals and even crazier shoppers, Microsoft emerged the in-stock winner, Nielsen reports that Sony’s Playstation 4 and Call Of Duty Ghosts are this holiday season’s most wanted.
Yahoo reports that the research and survey industry giant polled 1200 “active gamers” to see what they were after this holiday season. Thirty percent of the respondents said they wanted the Playstation 4, 22% said they were after an Xbox One, while 10% said they wanted a Wii U.
When Nielsen asked the gamers what game they wanted most Call Of Duty Ghosts was the clear winner. The latest in the Call Of Duty series was also the top title Black Friday according to Infoscout.
Analysts have indicated through their research that Microsoft has been able to get more Xbox One systems out to holiday shoppers.
Sony’s next gen system was in short supply Black Friday weekend. While both companies aren’t trying to “short sell” their new consoles, Sony released the Playstation 4 in Europe last weekend, which meant shorter supplies in U.S stores.
Microsoft Xbox One launched in 13 countries on November 22nd. This allowed them to concentrate on restocking for customer demand during America’s biggest shopping weekend of the year.
