Samsung’s popular phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, is the official smartphone of this years Winter Olympics.

To commemorate the occasion the South Korean technology giant has released a special edition Samsung Galaxy Note 3, TechnoBuffalo reported.

The device is being packaged in a special 2014 Winter Olympics commemorative box. The device itself is being emblazoned with an official Olympics logo. However nothing is changing about the hardware itself.

KPN, a wireless carrier in the Netherlands, seems to be the only wireless carrier that will sell the limited edition device. Customers who get it through KPN will also receive a special S-View flip cover and tickets to ice skating along with a chance to go to he Olympic games.

Samsung is also providing every athlete participating in the Olympics with their very own Galaxy Note 3 as well.

The games will run from Feb 6th to Feb 23rd and they will be televised on the NBC/Universal channels. Coincidentally, Mobile World Congress will kick off the very next day and it’s at that event in Barcelona where Samsung could introduce the next iteration of the Galaxy Note.
