This year at One Spark there will be a huge variety of products on display and one of the coolest things that I’ve spotted that will be in attendance thus far is actually a board game. Get Signed is a roll of the die-style music trivia board game that begins at the “unsigned” spot and the goal of the game is to make it thru three different levels, The Grind/Demo, the Meet the Label level, and the Get Signed! level. This is a brief explanation of their idea:
In each level, players will answer a series of trivia questions, participate in verbal and physical challenges, and obtain certain “credentials” to advance.
The group of college friends at Thinkerz Plus, LLC drew their inspirations from family game night that many of us remember fondly from our childhood. But there are a ton of board games out there, including many music trivia related ones. What sets Get Signed apart from the rest:
A very unique component of our game is the open-ended battle questions. These challenges are based on your experience and personal musical interests. There is no “right” era, genre or preference, so you can play the game with multiple audiences and yield a completely unique game experience every time. It allows you to play with people of various ages and backgrounds. We want you to turn off your iProducts, for just a minute, and engage in real face-to-face, social networking fun!
The college buddies are very passionate about their product and love the simplicity and excitement of old school board games and trivia games. They have poured thousands of hours into their product over the last few years and they believe that their business management, marketing and entrepreneurial experience coupled with that same passion make them the best possible people to see their product succeed. I can’t wait to play around with the prototype of Get Signed this year, they plan to let visitors play with it out so maybe I’ll see you there and we can test our trivia skillz.
