Back in November, before we realized that the winter of 2014 would have more snow than all the previous winters combined, we reported on a geinus app called Plowz. Plowz is the Uber of snow plowing, connecting home owners and business owners with an on-demand fleet of snow removers. Trust me they had a great winter.
Now, we hear from Wills Mahoney, cofounder of Plowz to tell us that they’ve added a new feature to Plowz for the summer which is appropriately called Mowz.
Like Plowz, Mowz is an on-demand Uber style app, but this time it’s to get the lawn cut.
Now back in my day I used to mow lots of lawns, it’s how I made money during the summer. Nowadays, even in a sub-division with a bunch of teenagers it seems the kids are just too good these days to try and make a buck cutting the grass.
It’s also difficult to find a lawn cutting service. The ones in the yellow pages or online never pick up the phone and Craigslist is still just a very creepy place. Enter Mowz.
Mowz allows you to put in your address, the size of your yard, how large your grass is, whether you have obstacles in your lawn and whether you need it cut with a push or riding mower. You then pick the day and voila, someone will respond and be ready to cut your grass, on demand.
The best part of all of this is when the service provider gets done they send you a picture of your lawn. This way you know they actually did the work whether you’re home or not. After you’re satisfied you make the payment, then rate the service provider and your grass is cut.
Mowz service providers are all insured and they all use commercial grade equipment. So next time you’re looking to get your lawn cut, get Mowz here.
