Everyone has been down on Nintendo lately. They’ve had a pretty rough two years. We’ve all heard by now that the Japanese company that made the console game system a living room fixture has lost a grip on their base. They’ve had to scale back their forecast for the Wii U despite having a great closeout to the holidays.
Now we’ve found nearly 3 hours of Nintendo bliss thanks to our friends at TechnoBuffalo.
NickplosionFX has created a 2 hour and 50 minute 8bit-umentary documenting every single “Press Start” screen to ever graze the original 8 bit Nintendo Entertainment System.
The video captures the essence of everything that was good with the cheesy midi music and 8 bit screens. Long lost forgotten staples like “10 yard fight” to “Bandai Golf, Pebble Beach”, to “Flight of the Intruder” and beyond. The creator of the video went to the painstaking step of even putting every title in alphabetical order.
Nickplosion says it took him forever to complete and we believe it. Not only that but in over 128,000 people have at least watched half of the video that’s what happens when you’re feeling all nostalgic.
So enjoy the video. If you grew up on an 8 bit Nintendo you will definitely get a kick out of it. Your kids won’t believe video games ever looked like this.
