PowerPractical

There were many themes that seemed to be running throughout this year’s International CES, one of which was power. Power Practical – who you may already know from their Practical Meter, which allows for more efficient charging on any USB charged device – introduced a unique product at CES 2014.

powerpot

powerpot imageThe Power Pot is the perfect charging device to employ during the zombie apocalypse. The Power Pot is a thermoelectric generator, meaning that it creates power from boiling water on a heat source, any heat source. The Power Pot absolutely blows other thermoeletrc, solar panels, and other mobile power sources away by bringing 10 watts of max output.

Beyond a 10 watt output, the Power Pot, the Practical Power team has built the Practical Meter functionality into the thermoelectric generator.

And, the device is a pot. Cook meals and charge your device in unison. Kyle had a chance to speak with Caleb Light, Power Practical’s VP of Sales, at CES. He gave us a good overview of the Power Pot and the Practical Meter.
