TrollOne of the most popular projects that we came across at One Spark was the Troll on the Bowl. The Troll on the Bowl helps parents of boys solve a major problem, the dreaded pee on the seat problem. Kyle interviewed one of the founders, Kevin O’Malley, during One Spark, and wrote a great description of the pee on the seat problem:

Troll on the Bowl was designed by a father of three boys with one thing in mind, keeping the pee pee in the potty. Sure you may be laughing right now, or maybe you just grimaced at the thought of us mentioning pee pee and potties on Techfaster, but it’s a serious issue. Little boys (and I was one of them at one point in time) need to learn at an early age the importance of keeping the pee pee in the potty (heck and lifting the seat as well).

The Troll on the Bowl is conceptually similar to wildly popular Elf on the Shelf. It comes with a children’s book and a troll. The story of the trolls in the rhyming, illustrated story book is amusing and engaging and will have both parents and children laughing. The Trolls, so goes the story, were enlisted by Santa to make sure that young boys were not making a mess of the bathroom. The Troll secretly drops targets into the toilet bowl, things like cereal, to help boys improve their aim. As young boys begin to improve their aim, the Troll leaves them gifts around the house.

troll bowlAs anyone with a young boy will tell you, this is a major problem. However, it needn’t be. With the Troll on the Bowl, parents can put an end to messy problem.

The public response to the Troll on the Bowl has been phenomenal. So much, in-fact, that the husband and wife team – Kevin & Michele O’Malley – have decided to take to Kickstarter to fund and sell the product. You can pick up the Troll on the Bowl – book and the troll – for just $23. The Troll makes a perfect Mother’s Day gift. Below is a short video explaining the idea behind the Troll on the Bowl, and the story of the trolls. Head on over to their Kickstarter campaign for more info:
