It’s time for CES announcements to come rolling in like gangbusters. Some companies, like Samsung have no problem leaking to the world what they plan on unveiling at the largest tech event in the Western Hemisphere. Others, choose to be a little more cryptic.

Computer giant Acer has taken to their Facebook page to post an animated gif of a new device they plan on introducing in Las Vegas at CES.

Their Facebook post says “Want to be a touch cooler in 2014? In 7 days Acer will reveal a must have product”. The post was made Friday at 2:00 am. Although CES doesn’t officially start until Tuesday January 7th (press day is the 6th), Acer posted the message and animated gif with the #CES hashtag and also flagged the status CES in the beginning of the post

Last year Acer used the hashtag #aTouchCooler in regards to their Windows and Android products however they’ve failed to really get a smartphone off the ground so many believe we could be expecting a tablet, touchscreen laptop or a hybrid device which are starting to become more and more popular.

ASUS and a few other manufacturers are looking to bring dual boot devices to market in the United States with Windows and Android, despite the fact that the latest version of the Windows operating system is supposed to function as both a mobile and desktop OS. Dual boot hybrid computers actually saw their debut in 2010 at the IFA conference in Berlin however for the most part they were only sold overseas.

Samsung, HP and Dell seem to be leading the pack with the newest Windows operating system so we can’t wait to see what Acer has up their sleeves. keep up with our CES coverage here.
