Bruer-lifestyle-shotMove over Kuerig, the team at Santa Cruz based Bruer is about to make it easier to get that iced coffee mocha frappacino by putting the ice cold coffee brewer into homes everywhere. This will definitely be on the holiday wish lists of cost conscious consumers this holiday season.

What’s better is that Bruer’s new Cold Bruer started off as a successful kickstarter project, like many new and cool gadgets and technology. They are looking to simplify, and put on the countertop, cold brewed coffee.

“We are overwhelmed with the support and enthusiasm from the Kickstarters who backed our campaign,” says Gabe Herz, Bruer co-founder.  “It’s great to have so many people share our desire for a simple way to make cold brewed coffee at home. We are moving quickly into manufacturing so we can deliver on time to our backers and pre-order customers.”

Compact and simple to use, Cold Bruer can process 24 ounces of water and two ounces of coffee, yielding three cups of cold brewed coffee extract after a brew time of anywhere between two and eighteen hours. This extract can then be poured over ice, mixed with water or with dairy to yield approximately six cups of cold brew. The coffee extract can be refrigerated for up to two weeks after brewing. Cold brew is sweet and both less acidic and less bitter than traditional hot coffee.

Cold Bruer can be pre-ordered now for a special limited time price of $55 ($60 regular price) at www.bruer.co. Cold Bruer is scheduled to ship in January 2014.
