Griffin-LogoWhile some were underwhelmed with Apple’s product announcements earlier this week, many are still ready to upgrade their current iPad to the new iPad AIR which weighs a whole .4 grams lighter than the original. The new sleek design will require a change in cases. While sometimes it doesn’t seem like Android device manufacturers don’t care about customers and cases, Apple tries to save accessory upgrading for at least every other year. This year is one of those years.

Griffin, the Nashville based accessory manufacturer has announced that their iPad Air cases including their Otter Box alternative, the Survivor Series, will all be available the day the iPad Air hits shelves, which is one week from today, November 1st.

Analysts are predicting that the smaller iPad will fare better this holiday season although there seems to be some concern about a supply shortage.

The new iPad Mini with Retina display is using the same casing as the original iPad mini so cases that are already on the market for the original iPad mini will fit the new version as well. Griffin has plans to refresh the iPad mini lineup as we head into the holiday season.
