When I was in school, one of my biggest problems was my stubbornness. Whenever I couldn’t understand a concept, or was having trouble, I refused to go to a tutor or lab. Rather than take the help that was available, I would try to figure things out for myself. Although I am not 100% sure why I wouldn’t go to get help, I think it had something to do with what I perceived as a sort of stigma. Looking back, it is quite clear that there is no sort of stigma associated with tutors. Anyhow, there weren’t any sort of online tutors back in my day. Had there been, I am positive I would have used such a service. We had a chance to ask one such tutoring service, Classgap, a bit about their company, and how it all works:

Classgap

 What is Classgap?

Classgap.com is an eLearning platform designed to make online teaching and learning an easy, effective and safe experience. Students and teachers have all tools they might need at hand, which means they don’t need to download or use any extra software. Teachers and students meet at a virtual classroom, where they can use video, audio, chat, and a digital whiteboard. It’s possible as well to upload documents, modify texts with a real-time document editor and share screen. Everything at a single place, ready and easy to use, so that teaching and learning are the only things that matter.

The payments are easily made to Classgap by the student and the money is kept until the end of the lessons, when Classgap makes the payment to the teacher. Teachers have their payment guaranteed and students can feel safe about paying for a service received.
