Well we hear, by way of phonesreview.com, that TinyCo is teaming up with Fox Digital Entertainment to release a new, and official, Family Guy app. The app will actually be a game featuring all of the Family Guy characters and based on the series 212 episodes.

Phonesrevew reports that original animation and dialogue will be featured in the game, similar to the way the Simpsons Tapped Out game was produced.

The Family Guy game will be released on both Android and iOS. If you’re not familiar with TinyCo they’re the company behind Spellstorm, Tiny Village, Tiny Monsters and Tiny Castle. Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door production company is working hand in hand with TInyCo to insure a great experience.

Andrew Green of TinyCo told gaming site Polygon that they wanted to produce a game that’s “faithful to the show” rather than just a “brand slap”. Rather than making a game that is based on marketing driven tie-ins, TinyCo is working on creating a game that also makes money.

As for how authentic it will be to the Family Guy series, Green told Polygon, “It’s not going to be completely fourth wall breaking,” he said. “We want you to feel like you’re playing the show.”
