With One Spark beginning next Wednesday, now seems an appropriate time to do a quick rundown of all the creator projects that we are looking forward to seeing. Below are all of the projects that we have previewed in the weeks leading up to One Spark:
Nerdular
“Essentially, we’re taking the experience of comic conventions and making it accessible to all, any hour of the day. Nerdular is the convergence of nerd community, industry and marketplace…like a never-ending comic-con.”
Immersed Games
The company is in the process of building a huge educational MMORPG. Think World of Warcraft or Ultima Online for education. It sounds a bit strange at first, but when you really think about it, an educational MMORPG really makes a lot of sense.
NeverWander
“NeverWander is a revolutionary way to assist you in knowing where your children are at all times while in places with lots of people! But more than anything we have designed it so that you will be alerted when your child is leaving the “Safe Zone.” We believe the answer lies in preventing loss, not just solving the problem once it has happened.”

“Currently there are SAAS products and dashboards targeted toward marketers for marketing strategies, there is not an offering targeted to small businesses without sales/marketing teams that simplifies the customer sales loop in a packaged end to end solution”
Plexr
“When a user shares content via Plexr, the receiving parties’ reaction is captured as they view the content. A reaction video is generated for both users to then view and enjoy.”
Local Ticket Sales
Local Tickets Sales is the first comprehensive one stop shop website that connects users to a wide variety of things to do. LTS acts as a window to everything that is going on not only in your local community but in cities and towns across the United States.
Vinny
Vinny is a free application that helps you to find the real value of a used car. Just scan the vehicles VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) barcode, or entering the VIN number, adjust the condition of the vehicle (mileage and wear) and the app gives you the “Vinny Price.”
Art Starter
“ArtStarter is bringing crowdfunding to artists from the viewpoint of the artist. ArtStarter was built with the unique needs of artists in mind. We aim for two main goals: funding for artistic endeavors and helping facilitate increased attendance at live events by providing better tools. We’ve concurrently developed the website, iOS and android apps, to immediately answer the needs of artists.”
The FORGE
“FORGE provides geek manufacturing solutions to the general public. We leverage 3d printing and digital design to provide traditional engineering services for a much lower price and in several cases, faster. We provide these services with a determined and progressive attitude that you would expect from a company called FORGE.”
Surfr
Simple enough. Surfr is Yelp for surfspots.
WeVue
“1) it is event based, 2) it allows for the crowdsourcing and sharing of content (i.e. photos and videos from events), and 3) it creates and allows users to create personalized Vues from the event. Vues are group movies made out of the crowdsourced content from an event with the addition of a soundtrack. These Vues allow users to get as creative as they want, sharing and reliving their events with associates, friends, and families.”

Worldwide Multimedia Management
Worldwide Multimedia Management is building a cloud where you can store all of your streaming media. Stream everything from one location.
WaZINIT
WaZINIT is a mobile app that will allow you to quickly scan products and compare ingredients against ANY of those you’re trying to avoid.
The App
Tentatively named, “The App,” this project is a Groupon-style daily deal app. This project is super unique as One Spark attendees will have the opportunity to name this application something other than “The App.”
Verti Bluetooth item finder
Verti is a tiny Bluetooth device helps you keep track of commonly misplaced items such as keys, wallets, purses and phones.
OrderUpp
The majority of resturant/food applications are more concerned with the consumer, building ordering apps or aggregating menus. There is very little innovation in the restaurant kitchen. However, OrderUpp has built a unique order tracking app for the kitchen.
SwitchTick
Florida based SwitchTick is hoping to become the app for bartering your stuff. They’ve simplified the process into six easy steps: register, create your SwitchTick listing, publish it, find what you want and switch it. They are also hoping to make the experience more social and that people who use the platform to switch their used stuff become friends.
Five & Fifty
Five and Fifty allows businesses to send instant discounts straight to your phone. Instant deals via SMS.
Get Signed is a roll of the die-style music trivia board game that begins at the “unsigned” spot and the goal of the game is to make it through three different levels, The Grind/Demo, the Meet the Label level, and the Get Signed! level.
Hi-Fi Social Network

The bcon app is set up to summon your list of important contacts, with pre-written informational messages and your exact GPS coordinates. The companion bcon button is used as a trigger device or panic button, much the same way that the First Alert was designed.

MamaBear is a parenting and family news application, that lets you keep track of the kids without nagging. It allows you to keep up with the whole family.
Pledge Your Bets

Just Orb Me
The Orb is an Oral-Aural-Aura communication device combining speaking, hearing, and luminous radiation. LINEVENT
Perhaps the best description of LINEVENT is that it is more-or-less a Groupon type platform for events. This seems like a great way to raise awareness, and market an event on the cheap.

SNAPprints
If you are hosting an event, SNAPprints allows you to “sign up on the website as the event host, write a short description, choose the maximum number of images someone can upload, set a time limit, and that’s it!”
