As we are gearing up to head to the TECA Tots and Technology Conference, we have had the opportunity to speak with several exhibitors. Among these exhibitor companies is B.E. Publishing. B.E. Publishing will be showing off their new typing platform: EduTyping at Tots and Tech. We had a chance to speak with the B.E. Publishing team, and learned a bit more about their company, as well as EduTyping.

Who is EduTyping aimed at? Elementary schools? Middle schools?

EduTyping is a new revolutionary 100% Web-based keyboarding software for teaching students grades K-12. Powered by B.E. Publishing, EduTyping allows educators to teach a full keyboarding course or unit using 100% online technology. All you need is access to the Internet and you are ready to go! The EduTyping, Jr. curriculum is designed to be used with students in grades K – 5, and the EduTyping Standard curriculum is written for students in grades 6 -12.

What makes EduTyping different from other typing programs?

EduTyping allows educators to teach a full keyboarding course or unit using 100% online technology. Students can work from school, home, library, etc.

BE Publishing is comprised of a team of (former) business and education leaders with a wide range of experience in both the private sector and public schools.

What is the next step? What do your current goals look like?

As keyboarding instruction continues to shift to the Elementary level, B.E. Publishing is looking to further expand into the to the K – 6 market.
