ADC, GDC, Apps Developers Conference, DevelopersIf you’re hardcore into tech and gaming or a game developer than you are more than familiar with GDC or the Game Developer’s Conference. Unlike conventions like E3 GDC brings the best game developers from across the country and around the world together to share ideas, hear great speakers, learn and see the next generation in gaming technology.

Now, with the rise in mobile, the next natural thing for the folk’s at the GDC to do is to start an app developer’s conference so that’s exactly what they did.

The brand new App Developers Conference (ADC) offers professionals a venue to share their knowledge about building, designing, marketing, and selling their apps. ADC will run next week, November 5th-7th at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will be co-located with GDC Next.

Backed by data from over 250,000 case studies from publishers like Zynga and EA, App Annie’s Nicolas Beraudo (GM North America, EVP worldwide sales) will provide advice for analyzing and leveraging market data to soar to the top of the charts in ‘App Store Insights: How to Make the Next Killer App.’ Global app store trends will include charts for iOS, Mac, Android, Amazon, and Windows platforms, helping developers get discovered wherever they are.

Having made over 75 Apps for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows since 2007, Mindgrub president and CEO Todd Marks has seen what it takes to rise above the noise in app stores. In his talk ‘Six Ingredients to Mobile App Success,’ he will share monetization models for various businesses and advice on seeking new distribution platforms and working to keep users engaged and retained.

Analytics should be part of your free-to-play design from day one, says GamesAnalytics COO Mark Robinson. In his talk ‘Analytics Driven Design,’ he will share the pitfalls to avoid and tips to best integrate analytics from the beginning to capture the rich player data available in F2P mobile content.

These sessions join a number of previously announced talks by Netflix, Tumblr, and more — all of which are now available on our expanding interactive Session Scheduler. Recent session highlights include Trulia on its Google Glass real estate app, Square on Expressionist app design, and ‘remember everything app’ Evernote on best practices for new user experiences.

Also of note, ADC organizers have shared survey results from over 250 app developers on issues they face currently, including piracy and discoverability on app stores. Those interested in the study can view all of the results for free.
