Now in their fifth year as an official corporate sponsor with the NCAA, LG Electronics is going all out for the NCAA March Madness tournament and the Final Four being held later this month in North Texas.

A campaign LG is wrapping around the tournament and it’s semi-final round will feature NBA star, coach and commentator, Clyde Drexler.

The campaign is being called “Do Game Day Right”. To do that Drexler will transform himself into a super can assistant.

Drexler will participate in LG’s tailgate activities at the Final Four in North Texas (April 5-7) and help fans Do Game Day Right throughout the tournament by offering tips for hosting your friends for March Madness games, recipes for game day bites, keeping up with scores on your LG G Flex through the NCAA March Madness Live app, and advice for setting up the ultimate viewing experience.

“Sports offer so many great moments, whether you’re playing in the game or cheering on your team with family and friends,” said Drexler. “I love that LG is helping fans make the most out of their game day experience, and I’m pleased to share what I’ve learned over the years as a player, coach and commentator.”

LG is also launching its “Locker Room Sweepstakes” where one lucky winner will receive an expenses-paid trip for two to North Texas for the 2014 NCAA Men’s Final Four semi-final and championship games. Additional prizes include LG products that enhance the game day experience, including 55- and 47-inch class (54.6- and 46.9-inches measured diagonally) Smart TVs, G Pads, washers and dryers, and microwave ovens. The LG Locker Room Sweepstakes runs through March 29.*

“LG is committed to helping fans create memorable experiences,” said William Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics USA. “We are honored to be a part of those experiences, whether it’s at the games in Texas, or through the amazing picture quality of our Ultra HD TVs and smartphones for fans enjoying the games from home or on the go.”

In 2012, LG extended its original three-year alliance with the NCAA through a new, multi-year agreement. Under its new agreement, negotiated with CBS Sports and Turner Sports, LG will continue as an official NCAA Corporate Partner and have exclusive category marketing and promotional rights related to all 89 NCAA championship events across 23 different sports, including the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and NCAA Football Championships.
