According to a newly published research paper, "Sugar-powered biobatteries could serve as next-generation green power sources, particularly for portable electronics." The battery developed by the research team, "has an unmatched energy density, a development that could replace conventional batteries with ones that are cheaper, refillable, and biodegradable."
