As we are rapidly approaching this years DIG SOUTH Festival, we just got word that Yancey Strickler will be giving the closing keynote. Strickler is CEO and one of the Co-Founders of Kisckstarter. This is huge news as Strickler rounds out what is already a pretty robust lineup of presenters and speakers.
The NYT has just unveiled a new app - NYT Now - that is essentially the exact same thing as Digg. NYT Now will cost $8/month and run ads. NYT Now is - at best - an attempt to jump into a highly saturated mostly-free category of applications with a product that costs $8/month.
